STATUS            : Startedconstruction work in 2022, but after the death of
                  Mahbub Talukdar, the constructionhas slowed down.

BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT AND CLIENT:

In the years2018, at the house of Mahbub Talukdar, at that time he was one of the membersof Election Commission. He told me “Mesbah while I was performing Umra I got afeeling that I should build a masjid in my area”. Without any delay make amasjid of unique design and make it unique and striking.

CONCEPT:

Even few yearsback our forefathers and ancestors used to pray mostly on temporary structureor semi pucca structure on verandah or open space or under the shade of trees.They could feel the nature in praying time. Not confined in a space andartificial atmosphere like us. They share with sun, air, rain, vibration ofnature, rhythm of nature, sound of nature.

Why not design amasjid with no windows only screen wall, so the musullis can be part of nature,can feel the changes in the space with light, shadow, and changing seasons. So,the masjid will create a sanctuary environment for the musullis to obtain thehighest of spirituality connection through their prayers.

A MASJID WHITHOUT WINDOW:

Combining withpure rectangular form, both horizontally and vertically, concreate hollow blocksconnects the inside with the outside world. A hollow tube with large opening onthe outside, transitioning to a smaller opening in the inside, acts as aircooler, reduces the outside hot air. When passing the tube, temperature willreduce few degrees.

A Masjid Talks with Nature:

This two-storymasjid of pure form was an effort to provide a sense of purity and perfection.This Masjid will swing with nature, talk with nature, cry with nature, laughswith nature and vibrate with nature.

Window & Light:

The masjid wasdesigned to emphasize the interaction of light, air and shadow by using naturallight and ventilation.

In early timespeople would pray in an open ground and outside of enclose space with in naturewhere they attended the highest level of spirituality. With the passing daysthe space for prayers is getting enclosed by walls and artificial environment, hinderingcontact with nature. The intimacy we have with nature and with The Creator areobstructed.

To be in completecommunication with God, one needs a space that evokes a feeling ofspirituality. We decided to build the masjid at its purest form, that willprovide a sense of purity and perfection.

The exclusiveopen design of the two stories masjid will create a serene environment for themusullis to attain the highest level of spirituality through their prayers.
