Our client was a Christian Welfare Community NGO. They had 100Acre of land in Sreepur hilly area. The site was acombination of small tilla, flat land and low land.

For us, living in plain land, the site was exciting.Direction of ICDDR, Mr. Susanto Adikari, was in chair at that NGO. Then NGO wantedto rent a space from my father, and sent an employee from Europe, to my father’shouse, at Gulshan at Road – 124, for the signing the contract agreement of rent.Regarding that matter, I met Susanto Adikari at his office, in Mirpur 10. Uponknowing that I am an Architect by profession, he became interested and askedabout my work in Dhaka. I pointed to Mirpur Cricket stadium, which stood outhis window, as one of my projects.

He then asked me to take on this project, which was essentiallyfor training and conference purpose.

At that time, conference facilities in Dhaka city were scarce.Especially big conference halls. Priority of that project was giving to a properconference room with facilities for workshop and trainings. As the site was along distant away from Dhaka, a guest house was provided to accommodate the Guestsvisiting from far away.
